The Run Ultra model is designed for very long distance races, particularly ultra-trails and marathons. Ultra-Trails are often very rugged: there is a high risk of ankle twisting. That's why instead of just support, this model provides reinforced compression knitting around the ankles (ankle shield) for enhanced support in this vulnerable area.
