The roots of Monnet know-how
For almost a century, Monnet has been accompanying sportsmen and women, from passionate beginners to legendary athletes.
Like them, we are driven by the same passion for excellence and performance.
Monnet socks have accompanied the great names of French skiing, such as Jean-Claude Killy or the Goitschel sisters, when they wrote their names in the golden book of national sporting achievements.
Even today, Monnet socks, as the official supplier of the French Nordic ski teams and the Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix, are partners in the exploits of the greatest French athletes.
The requirement and the will to innovate are the key words that have guided us since the first models created by Mr. François Monnet, founder of the company in 1930, until the creation in 2020 of the 1st wireless electric heating sock.
There is no doubt that over the decades spent equipping the greatest champions, Monnet has acquired a unique know-how in the design and manufacture of quality socks.
Our products have always been known for their exceptional comfort and durability.
In creating the Monnet Casual product line, we wanted to bring the qualities that have made our reputation to all those who want to put really strong and really comfortable socks on their feet.
To offer your feet maximum softness and comfort, we have favoured natural materials: cotton, merino wool and cashmere.
The socks are available in high, classic and invisible heights to fit all types of shoes.
Monnet Casual socks are for every day, every season, sober, comfortable, durable and easy to wear.
100% made in France
Established since its foundation in the heart of Burgundy, in Montceau - les - Mines, one of the historical cradles of the French textile industry, all our production comes from our Montcellian production unit. Monnet is a brand whose production is 100% Made in France. This means that each of our pairs of socks is the result of a rigorous process of technological creation and design where every detail counts to guarantee the satisfaction of each of our customers.
To prolong the life of your hiking socks here are some useful tips
Wash your socks in the washing machine on a 30° programme, especially wool socks. Use a low spin speed. Air dry them, do not use a tumble dryer as this will damage the fibres in them. Use detergents and cleaning products that contain as many natural ingredients as possible to preserve the nature of the fibres. Do not iron them.
