Cold Weather

Facing the extreme cold
Our mission is to help you face the extreme negative temperatures by designing socks that will protect your feet while offering you the best possible comfort.
To achieve this, Monnet offers several products, resulting from its expertise in materials, the work of its research and development team and its close partnership with top sportsmen and women, in particular the guides of the prestigious Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix.
HeatProtech heated socks: the must-have for protecting your feet from the cold.
If protecting your feet from the cold is important to you, whether it's your job, your sport or your hobby, then HeatProtech Heated Socks are the perfect solution.
The unique technology used by Monnet allows for heating all around your toes, not just above or below the tips of your feet. This is because the heating is provided by a textile heating fibre that is knitted into the whole sock, unlike traditional heated socks where the heating comes from an electrical resistance inserted inside the sock.
This technology provides even heat over the entire sensitive area of the feet and therefore maximises protection against extreme temperatures.
Tested and recommended by the Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix
HeatProtech heated socks have been developed in close partnership with the Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix. At each stage of development, the Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix have shared with our technical teams their experiences of using the socks in the most rigorous conditions. They have particularly appreciated its efficiency but also its comfort and ease of use. The heat can be controlled either manually - directly on the batteries - or via a downloadable smartphone application. The app offers a very useful - and unique! – feature for all users: the indication of the remaining heating time according to the selected heating level. Very useful for determining your time out!
Grandes Jorasses: 85% merino wool!
85%! This is the exceptionally high percentage of merino wool used in the Grandes Jorasses model.
Wool, as we know, offers a particularly effective natural thermal protection.
The thickness of the socks also plays an important role in protecting against the cold.
The combination of 85% merino wool and a 100% loop design in the Grandes Jorasses ensures that wearers can go out without fear, even at very low temperatures.
100% made in France
Monnet is a brand whose production is 100% Made in France. This means that each of our pairs of socks is the result of a rigorous process of technological creation and design where every detail counts to guarantee the satisfaction of each of our customers.
Care tips.
To prolong the life of your hiking socks here are some useful tips
Wash your socks in the washing machine on a 30° programme, especially wool socks. Use a low spin speed. Air dry them, do not use a tumble dryer as this will damage the fibres in them. Use detergents and cleaning products that contain as many natural ingredients as possible to preserve the nature of the fibres. Do not iron them.
